Basic math and writing skills are necessary. Must be able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and type at least 25 words per minute. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and medical staff. The right candidate should have at least two (2) years of experience assisting Veterinarians with client communication, patient care and medical treatments including but not limited to: Medication dosages and administration Vaccine administration Acquiring laboratory samples and processing in-house lab samples Anesthesia induction and monitoring for surgical procedures IV catheter placement Dental scaling Surgical preparation Hospitalized patient care Wound care Emergency care Animal restraint Laser therapy, Digital radiology familiarity Euthanasia protocols, Client communication & sales.
